"CERITA DIBALIK LOCAL FREAK...

Pada tahun 2001, terbentuklah sebuah band dengan nama MILE PER HOUR (MPH) dengan formasi inti: gullie/vocal, andre/vocal, erick/gitar, medio/gitar, franky/bass, dj.qiqi/turntable, dan dimi/drum. 

Band ini pada awal-awal terbentuknya banyak dipengaruhi band-band modern rock luar seperti: rage againts the machine, system of a down, ill nino,korn, limbizkit, linkin park, incubus, 311, p.o.d, papa roach, deftones, dan lain-lain. 

Band ini selalu membawakan beberapa lagu dari band-band tersebut dalam tiap penampilan nya,di ajang pentas seni sekolah dan kampus di jakarta sampai akhir 2004. Dalam perjalanannya MILE PER HOUR sempat melakukan pergantian personil dan posisi, tepatnya pada tahun 2004. 

Pada tahun ini formasi inti band menjadi: gullie/vocal, medio/gitar, franky/bass, dufy/drum, dan andre memposisikan menjadi turntables untuk menggantikan dj qiqi di turntable. Formasi ini sendiri bertahan terakhir di panggung JAKARTA AMILD LIVE SOUNDRENALINE 2004.karena selepas panggung tersebut dufy/drums mengundurkan diri karena untuk mempersiapkan diri dalam ujian nasional. 

Posisi dufy sendiri digantikan oleh riza dari drummer TIGA MAWARNIH(instrumen jazz fusion). Hingga agustus 2007 band ini terakhir tampil di acara UNIVERSITAS PENDIDIKAN INDONESIA(ASIA AFRICA CULTURE CENTER). Selepas panggung tersebut MILE PER HOUR resmi vakum yang dikarenakan andre sakit dan koma. 

DARI MPH MENJADI LOCAL FREAK... 

Setelah vakumnya MILE PER HOUR di tahun 2007-2009, semua personil sibuk dengan kesibukan masing-masing. Bermula dari bertemu nya eqy dan gullie di bulan juni 2008, maka rencana untuk menjalankan kembali MILE PER HOUR terlaksana dengan kembali nya franky dan riza, serta bergabung nya pula indra untuk berduet bersama eqy di gitar. Karena kesepakatan bersama maka pada desember 2009 dipilihlah nama LOCAL FREAK untuk menggantikan nama MILE PER HOUR menjadi LOCAL FREAK... "

Hello friends!
My name is Santa. I'm the bass guitarist of the band INDONESIA.
We have chosen the name INDONESIA without political or social reasons. I'm with Demian (guitarist) looked through a hundred names but no one is good. We are looking for a simple memory. Also we wanted a name with a "root indie." Finally, Demian appeared on the deck under his guitar and had read: "Made in Indonesia." "Yeah!" - Said. - "That's what we're looking for INDONESIA!!"
Our music is not connected with one particular style. It envelops a lot more. It sounds as freedom "in music." Our music covers all genres. There are progressive and grunge, metal and pop, and disco ... Jaz etc. But for all that we have our own "Indonesia" style. multistyles we emerged on the EP "Pretty Colors" at a lower level than in our second album which we recorded fine now but. When we entered into discussions to "" name INDONESIA our minds is: "Indonesia ... this country is situated on the islands with thousands of islands, and each country's own citizens, ideology., Customs ... etc. Looks like a lot of country-side. Many - the music ... "Something in the mind of this.
